So the past couple months I've been preparing for this trip. I've always known I've wanted to go back to Africa someday on a medical mission trip and that day is coming up quickly! The count down is on: 10 days till I leave! The fundraisers are all done, I've got my shots and medications, now to just pack. And I'm not sure if the fact that I can only take a carryon is going to make packing easier or harder, we'll soon find out. I hope that you will join me on this adventure, I'm not sure how often I'll actually get to have access to post blogs, but will try my best.
I'm excited and nervous all at the same time. I know God's got big things planned for me there and will soon find out what they are.
I ask that you keep me in your prayers this next week and during the trip. Pray for safety in Africa and while travelling. Pray that the team will get along well and we will work together well. Pray that I will allow God to use me in any way He sees fit. Also pray that when this trip comes to an end, getting back to the Western life in Canada won't be too hard for me.
